Motivation will always come and go. Finding ways to make fitness a priority and make it fun will keep you going even when you don’t want to.
Find a workout buddy to come to classes with
-By having someone committed to going to class with you can help hold you accountable. You will be less likely to skip your workout when you know someone else is counting on you. Also, working out with a friend is always more fun!
Schedule your workouts as an appointment
-A lot of times when people get busy, the workout is the first thing to go off the list. Try scheduling your workout in your calendar as an appointment or work meeting so it has the same level of importance and you’ll be less likely to miss it.
Set up a small reward for yourself
-If you make your workouts all week build in a reward for yourself like going shopping for a new workout shirt or go get a massage. By having something to look forward to and work towards will help keep you on track.
Set short term goals
-Everyone has a big goal related to their fitness or lifestyle. Sometimes that can seem very daunting and can feel like you aren’t making progress. By breaking up your long term goal into several smaller short term goals, you will feel accomplished every time you are able to reach those small steps.
